UC- Universidad de Cantabria
The Environmental Technologies and Bioprocesses research group of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the University of Cantabria has an extensive R&D experience in the field of membrane technology, with developments and applications in the chemical process industry, new energy sources, the agricultural sector, wastewater treatment, the recovery of industrial wastes as well as applications in biomedical engineering.
In relation to the KET4F-Gas project, it provides experience in the development of membranes based on new polymers, inorganic compunds and ionic liquids, and their application to the design of recovery processes of high-added value gases.
The Department has participated over the last 5 years in more than 50 R&D projects financed both in national and international calls and through private contracts with companies. Likewise, as a result of this intense research activity, more than 200 scientific articles have been published in journals of international impact in this period.
