UPPA
The University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) is a multidisciplinary university which covers three major areas of study: i) law, economics, business, management, ii) science and technology, iii) literature, languages, arts, social sciences and humanities and sport.
The university also includes two University Institute of Technology, one University School of Management, two engineering schools, a continuing education department and an apprenticeship training centre.
With 24 research units associated with research bodies such as the CNRS, INRA and INRIA, research at UPPA covers 5 strategic themes and one transversal and multidisciplinary theme.
n particular, the Laboratory of complexs fluids and their reservoirs (LFCR) is a mixed unit (UMR 5150) attached to UPPA, CNRS and TOTAL, organized into four research teams: Colloids and interfaces, Thermophysical properties, Characterization of geological reservoirs, Geomechanical and porous media. Its unique positioning, mainly around the study of geo fossil resources and totally in phase with the local socio-economic environment, gives it a very marked coloring by the applications and allows it to have teams recognized internationally.
